Classes & Workshops
Looking to learn something new or practice a skill? Join us for a wide range of registered classes for seniors. In addition, participate in online health and wellness workshops on topics such as healthy aging or chronic pain management.
Socialize and celebrate together! We offer free or low cost special events for seniors throughout the year. As an example, enjoy live entertainment at our annual Chinese New Year party. Take part in annual Seniors Week celebrations including social gatherings. Build intergenerational connections during special events such as Family Day.

Our Out Trip services are temporarily unavailable.
Visit beautiful areas throughout the Lower Mainland, meet new people, and also try new things. We usually offer group out trips for seniors throughout the year. Past outings have included trips to the Abbotsford Tulip Festival, Museum of Vancouver, and the Sun Yat-Sen Gardens, in addition to many other exciting local destinations.
55+ Facility Pass
Our 55+ Facility Pass services are temporarily unavailable.
Enjoy access to drop-in seniors programs and social clubs throughout the year with our 55+ Facility Pass. Share hobbies together in clubs such as poetry appreciation, singing, and drama. Sing a solo or duet in our Karaoke seniors programs, with groups offered in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese. Practice your skills in programs such as technology help or English conversation.
Cost: $14.00 (with GST included) per year or $4.20/drop-in for applicable classes. Provides access to the following clubs and programs:
Karaoke – English
Sing solo or a duet in English in our sound-proof room. Bring your own VCD or DVD to use City Centre’s Karaoke machine!
Join this group if you are interested to share your singing techniques, knowledge of music and meet new friends. Learn and gain confidence while singing in front of an audience. Please bring your own device.
Poetry Appreciation Group
Appreciate classical and modern Chinese and Western poetry and composition through study and recitations with this social group.
Karaoke – In English or Mandarin
Sing solo or a duet in Cantonese or Mandarin in our social room. Bring your own VCD or DVD to use City Centre’s Karaoke machine!
Drama Group – In Cantonese
(In partnership with the BC Responsible and Gambling Program). Gain acting skills from a professional actor and perform meaningful messages to the community.
Ballroom Practice Group
Make new friends and practice ballroom skills with an experienced volunteer dancer! Prior experience required.
Drop-in and get help from a volunteer and learn how to use your phone, tablet, or laptop. Bring your own device to get assistance.
English Conversation Group
Practice common English phrases and sentences by having conversations with others in this informal group.
Purchase your 55+ Facility Pass at the front desk. You are required to scan each time you come to a program. This pass is valid only at City Centre Community Centre for 55+ Facility Pass programs. Drop-ins are based on room capacity due to fire code and on a first come, first serve basis. Programs and times are subject to change.
55+ Wellness Clinics
Our 55+ Wellness Clinic services are temporarily unavailable.
We host 55+ Wellness Clinics every first Thursday of the month. Access free and low cost wellness services. Get information about local seniors services. In addition, socialize while enjoying coffee, tea, refreshments, and more.
Participate in free, drop-in services such as health counselling and blood pressure testing. Make an appointment in advance for low cost services such as shiatsu, reflexology, and chair massage. In addition on-site translation services in Cantonese and Mandarin are available. Learn more about the City of Richmond’s seniors services.
