Youth Facility Pass

Sign up for a Youth Facility Pass to enjoy great youth drop-in programs and access our fitness centre during our Youth hours! To register, make sure that you have a myrichmond account, then sign up for a pass at our front desk anytime!

Youth Facility Pass Level 1: Drop-In Programs

City Centre offers free drop-in programs throughout the week! Check-in at the front desk with your youth facility pass and join us upstairs!

AllWays

Wednesdays, 4:00pm-6:00pm

Ages: 13-18 yrs

If you are looking to meet new friends, hang out, and also talk about gender, diversity, and acceptance, then join us for AllWays!

Study Station

Looking for a place to study with friends? Come hang out and study with us! Silent spaces also available.

Thursdays, 4:00pm-8:00pm

Dice, Decks, and PC Specs

Whether you like e-sports and video games or old fashioned board games, drop by for some gaming action! Feel free to bring your own games as well!

Fridays, 4:00pm-6:00pm

Friday Hangouts 

Come hang out with us! Especially if you like games, out trips, and cooking. there’s something for everyone!

Youth Facility Pass Level 2: Fitness Centre Access

For $7 per year, youth can also get access to the fitness centre during youth hours! To access the gym, youth must have a completed parental consent form as well as an orientation for youth aged 13-15.

Youth hours:

  • Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:30pm
  • Fridays 6:00-8:00pm

Registered Programs

Looking to sign up for a specific program? Join us for a wide range of registered classes for preteens and youth, such as K-pop dance, Cooking, 3D Printing, Badminton, Coding, Sketching, and more! Whether you are curious about our full offerings or just browsing, take a look at our Seasonal Guide!

Camps

During school breaks and on Pro-D days, we have an exciting selection of workshops, camps and out trips for preteens and youth. Offerings vary by season and past opportunities have included Art Fusion camp, Entrepreneurship Camp, climbing camp, outdoor education camp, and more!


Youth Leadership

Are you looking a unique, dynamic, and challenging volunteer opportunity? Check out our youth leadership teams! Not only will you earn volunteer hours, but also valuable leadership, event coordination, and group facilitation skills.


Youth Scholarship

Our youth scholarship honours a student graduating high school who has significantly contributed to City Centre Community Centre’s programs and the community.

Generally, scholarships between $250 and $750 are awarded depending on the number of qualified candidates each school year. The Award must be used toward further education, although not necessarily a traditional post-secondary institution.

Requirements

  • Graduating from any high school in Richmond in June 2020
  • 50 – 70 hours working/volunteering with City Centre Community Centre
  • Involved in extracurricular activities at City Centre throughout high school
  • Post-secondary education plans in the next school year
  • Positive role model for peers
  • Proven experience(s) of demonstrated leadership at City Centre and outside of City Centre (at school or in community). 
  • Completion of an application form and short essay

Just Like You is a youth created magazine, dedicated to other youth and for those who value youth. Our goal is to educate through the perspectives of LGBTQ2S youth by showcasing their written stories and artwork.
